Activities

I strongly believe in giving back to the community. We should embed service into our lifestyle.
During the onset of the pandemic, I initiated a service project to provide PPE to hospitals.
Started with my own effort but in order to amplify the impact, expanded the project, recruited volunteers, raised funds, and coordinated with print shops in other states.
Apart from this, sold sewed masks to raise funds for Food Bank. Made Thank you packages to healthcare workers with a desktop acrylic painting and goodies.
IMPACT:
-
4000+ PPE including 800+ sewn items
-
Hospitals benefited: University of Nebraska Medical Center, CHI Lakeside, Methodist Women's Hospital, Children's Hospital Omaha, Methodist Council Bluffs, Bryan LGH
-
Funds to Food Bank equivalent to 28000 meals

This project has helped me learn and grow tremendously, especially in Project management, communication and collaboration, influencing, and leadership. The best part has been the people who were so selfless and inspiring. The project has been so fulfilling. helped me realize my potential and strengthened my commitment to give back.

Dance - Diversity - Decompress!
• Motto for the club is to spread cultural awareness, and diversity and have fun along the way. It helps several like me to bring their authentic selves to school and hopefully paves way for others to do so.
• High school can be tough and dancing with friends is a great way to decompress at end of the day. It also helps nurture new friendships and grow your network in a fun casual setting.
• Apart from formal training in Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance), I’m a self-taught dancer in other forms which include Bollywood, Hip Hop, and Contemporary.
